Nicolas G. Biro, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive oculoplastic surgery. He provides evaluation and surgical treatment for conditions affecting the eyelids and eyebrows, the tear drainage system, and the orbit.

Dr. Biro completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida, where he was selected as chief resident. He then completed his fellowship training at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, in neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastic and orbital surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Before moving to California, Dr. Biro served as Director of Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology at both Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Nassau University Medical Center in New York. In these leadership positions, he oversaw resident education and provided specialized care at both Level I trauma centers. He also served as an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College and as an attending ophthalmologist in the Wills Eye Hospital Emergency Department.

Dr. Biro is board certified in both ophthalmology and pediatrics. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented research involving orbital disease, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, carotid-cavernous fistulas, and reconstructive procedures of the tear drainage system. His commitment to compassionate care also includes international medical mission work with Operation Smile and Project World Health.

Dr. Biro is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
